Lighthouse

Maugher Beach Lighthouse - Located in Halifax Harbor - Interestingly the area is also known as hangman’s Beach because during the Napoleonic wars the Royal Navy would hang the bodies of executed mutineers here as a warning to the crews of ships entering the harbor that this was a port where they best behave themselves. We didn’t see anyone hanging when we were there ( but we behaved ourselves anyway just in case)
