small desert next to the ocean. The dunes of Maspalomas is one of the most beautiful places in Canary Islands. Located in the island of Gran Canaria, these dunes were formed by sand from the bottom of the ocean, during the last ice age, when the wind blew the sand towards the coast of the island.
