Reflected Pines

Clouds blanketed the sky over Long Pine Key blocking out the sun for the entire afternoon. Not knowing whether I would get an image or not I walked out into the lake (while keeping an eye out for alligators), setup the composition and waited. As the sun dropped, there was a slight break in the clouds revealing the sun for only a couple of minutes. I managed to take this 8 shot panorama just before the sun dropped below the horizon. The trees on the left side of the scene are side lit by the sun, while the scenery on the right is shadowed creating an interesting separation of warmer and cooler colors.

I gave it four stars partly as you risked alligators. Not a good idea. You wouldn't do that in Australia, or shouldn't with our crocodiles.

Lol, Thanks for the vote Geof! I'd never do that with crocodiles. Alligators aren't near as aggressive, still not the smartest idea though.
