After fasting for the whole month of Ramadan, Muslim all over the world end the holy month with celebrating Aidilfitri. The malay community in Singapore celebrate this joyous day by donning our malay traditional costumes and visit the homes of other family members and seek forgiveness for any mistakes we have done.
It is also tradition for families to colour coordinate our attires for the day and take lots of photos of ourselves in our traditional costumes. I love taking photos so i usually use this time to get the best photos of my family. I am also a fan of the downhill mountainbiking scene. I decided to turn up on that night donning my mountainbiking gear with my 'Samping' (a part of the malay traditional costume) on to create a more unique and fun family portrait.
I used a single speedlight fired at 45 degree right of the camera firing through a shoot thru umbrella.
