Kirkjufell

A cold and windy night at Kirkjufell, the iconic mountain on Iceland. I like how the ice lead the eye towards the mountain and a weak aurora.

We got here late after driving from Vik in the late evening. The ice and the dark made it really hard to scout great compositions, but Kirkjufell is pretty forgiving when it comes to lack of research. The compositions are there to grab. I got down to the river and found this leading line which I put in the bottom centre, hopefully leading the eye towards the mountain. I like the subtle aurora giving some interesting detail in the sky.
