Theru-"Street", Koothu-"Play" A 2000 year old folk art dance form that originated in South India, where artists blend Eyal (Literature), Isai (Music) and Nadagam (Drama) in storytelling the epics, performed in Tamil. More than entertainment, it serves to educate people about history and religion of rural villages.
