Kayaking by the glacier

This is the Mendenhall glacier, which is the location of the ice cave photo I had posted earlier. Our guide had this piece of advice for us when we saw these people kayaking close to the glacier: DON'T ever try this! Kayaking close to the face of a glacier, or under it is extremely dangerous since it can calve at any time. That said, this gave me an opportunity to get a photo that shows how huge this glacier was by having people for scale in the frame.
