What an odd name for a sunset picture, isn't it? Well, I'll never forget the circumstances I shot this picture in. It was freezing cold and there was a harsh wind blowing. I was desperate to find a suitable subject to go with the sunset although my face and hands were already getting numb. Then I spotted these two trees on the opposite side of the road. I got the telephoto from the backpack with my fingers already hurting and pressed the shutter button. Then I was on my way back, freezing, but happy.
Thorsten, have you used Orton Effect on the image? There's a weird, soft and hazy look to the darkest part of the images (lower part and tree trunks) and I'm guessing it might be it, isn't it?

That's really weird. You're right - there's no sign of it on 100% zoom. :D
