Nice shot. Close enough to the action without actually being on the bull. Many, many years (ok decades) ago, a friend who was an aspiring stunt man in LA wanted to add bull riding to his portfolio so he asked me and another friend to join him in taking a weeklong bull riding course. Without hesitation, we immediately said "Hell No!" and told him that we would, however videotape and photograph his rides for his book. This photo reminds me of that trip, except of course the smell which is a good thing.
I have to add that after watching my friend and the other guys going through this course I thought "I can do this." So I signed up for the next class. Craziest thing I've ever done. Eight bull rides in the course of one week. I never stayed on the full eight seconds for any of my rides but I had a blast doing it. Took weeks for the cow manure smell to get out of my car though.
