Went to go visit Lake Louise in the middle of December and kept waiting for the right time to take a shot. It was completely overcast and none of the lighting looked right for a portrait. But then for a split second a little ray of sunshine peeked through the clouds and bounced perfectly off the snow lighting up my friend as if I was in a studio.
Took this shot at f11 rather than my default f1.4 to try to get a nice environmental portrait to highlight the awesome symmetry of the mountains behind the lake.
