Early morning aerial shot in Southern California. I had always thought higher was better when it comes to drone shots, but then I remembered reading somewhere that you get most impact when only a few feet or so above eye level. Whether that's true or not is debatable but I decided to try going the other way and getting low with the drone. The advantage is that I could take this shot out over the water, which I couldn't do with my nikon without a boat/kayak/jetski/whatever. I was pretty happy with the result, even if it did make me pretty nervous to have the drone that close to the water.
