Shot during the lunar eclipse on 1/20/2019, this series was taken from a sequence of ~1200 light images and 300 dark frames. I used PIPP to align and quality filter the images, AS!2 to stack each exposure set into individual frames, RegiStax 6 to sharpen the stacks, and final tone and exposure adjustments and compositing in Photoshop. 7D mk II 70-200 f 2.8 IS L III w/ 2x teleconverter.
Great stack! MY intent was to do this too, but I blew it. Had my camera set up to shoot once every minute and I went out to check it every 15 mins or so to insure the moon was in the frame. It was so freaking cold outside. Turns out I was shooting a time lapse video (jpg) and not capturing RAWs.. I kicked myself in the ass. But yours, what a great shot. I'd composite over a landscape.
