Over the summer, I stayed on a working dude ranch for a week with my family. The ranch hands would release the horses back into the field for the night after a day of being saddled up for rides. It was amazing watching 30 or 40 horses come barreling out of the gate, excited to be off work in perfect weather. They bolted out of there. The late afternoon light coming through the dirt cloud they were kicking up was beautiful.
