A snowy Old Man

When I saw The Old Man of Storr on the Isle of Skye (Scotland) for the first time last autumn, I immediately thought "that must look amazing in winter" so when the forecast said snow, I started planning my trip over to Skye. On the first morning, I woke up at 5:30, drove on icy roads to the Storr and started hiking up in the dark. One hour later, I stood on a hill, overlooking the Storr. A few clouds started to build right before sunrise, and when the sun finally came up, everything caught the beautiful morning light. It isn’t difficult to get a good shot here – amazing light, unique landscape. The hard part is being there in time to capture it.
