Even though farming is a huge industry in India, farmer suicides in account for 11.2% of the country's suicides. Photographed here are mustard farmers in traditional attire in a remote village in Rajasthan. Behind the smiles on their faces lies the hardships they endure due to monsoon failure, high debt burdens, genetically modified crops, government policies, public mental health, personal issues and family problems.
