Stuck in the middle

Chicago evening rush hour.
4th day of taking up photography (but understand editing a bit), so please go slow on me, if anyone sees this!
I read up before going out to shoot. Clicked 120 photos yesterday, ended up liking only 6, this is one of the 6.
Also use the most basic DSLR and no special lens, just the ones that came with the camera.
Please let me know how I can improve!
