Winter Skeleton

I feel a bit out of place in Australia. Life is good here, but the endless evergreen eucalypts from one end of the country to the other, and the rather drab olive greens leave me hankering for rich greens and bare-limbed trees like this. I often visit Tasmania for this reason, as masses of European trees have been planted there. This one is in a park in Launceston.

I particularly like the composition Chris, which contributes to the whole dynamics, as well as a nicely balanced contrast, in terms of processing. Well done!

Thanks, Radisa! Your opinion is particularly valued. Hope you're going well, and harvesting good RAWs to cook up into your gourmet dishes!

I am really drawn to the simplicity of this Chris. The boughs form wonderful lead-in lines that add visual weight to the overall balance.
I also appreciate that you have chosen a blank sky to act as balance - this keeps it nice and clean and free of distraction.

Solid job!

Thanks, Alan!

It's like the tree photo bombed you. Oh, heeeyyyy... the asymmetry is perfect.

Thanks, Cathleen. Here's to lop-sidedness!

Perfect. You can see some similar photos on my instagram profile.

Thanks, Goran! I'll have a look at yours, though I tend to avoid IG.

On the contrary since I am from India my first visit to Centarl park , NY left me quite shocked. long line of bare trees was a very depressing sight. But after some weeks when I revisited the Park I was overwhelmed by the colours of the trees.
Nice shot.
