An Untouched World

The word 'epic' gets thrown around a lot these days. But this location fit every definition of the word - it is one of the most incredible places I have ever been to. It was hard to believe what I was seeing was even real!

Many are tight-lipped about the whereabouts of this magnificent 'secret' canyon, and when we arrived, I understood why. The fragility of the surroundings was clear - freshly hatched egg shells lay strewn across the area, ancient Icelandic moss covered the ground, and thousands of birds nested freely in the area. Tourism in Iceland is booming, and this is a delicate and magical place. For the time being, and I hope in the future - it will remain as such.
