CATOGORY: PANO, 6 shots stitch
Ever since I first saw a picture of Grand Prismatic Spring, the vivid green, blue color fascinated me like a dream.
Decades later as I got better at taking Milky Way Astrophotos, the vision of " A Yellow Stone Hot Spring Under The Milky Way" became etched in my mind.
Shooting Milky Way is easy, the hard part is finding a pool that is beautiful, not too steamy & in the right direction under the Milky Way arch.
Luckily I found one.
The snow storm stopped around sunset, as I waited, waited, crossed my fingers for a clear night.
At mid night I set out and propped up my tripod & took 6 photos of this Milky Way to get a complete arch.
No city light pollution, the dark sky above me dotted with millions of stars; there are so many stars that you could see the reflections in the pool and Yellow Stone lake.
It was 25F, my hands became numb after 5 minutes, I held my breath with each shutter press.
The rest was easy.
Enjoy, my friends.

Beautiful. Can't begin to imagine how much work you must've put in in shooting this. Keep up the good work. :)
