Sol Stone

After the long and very slow drive down the dirt road along the outskirts of the park, I could see the rock formation in the distance. It was truly jaw dropping. Upon my arrival, I scouted around with my camera, envisioning how the setting sunlight would hit the monolithic rock formation in front of me. After scouring the area for a few hours, I decided on a location I thought would be perfect. I set up my camera and waited for sunset.

As the sun crept down to the horizon off to my right, the golden light began to get more and more intense; hitting the rock faces in front of me just as I had envisioned earlier. I guess this is one of those rare times where you get the image you want on the first attempt.
