In Rainbows

A rosemary leaf beetle, slowly destroying my lavender plants. Considered an invasive species and a pest by most gardeners, they are nevertheless undeniably beautiful. This shot was taken of a live subject, which was pretty inactive and stayed still long enough for me to make a focus stack of about 40 shots. Taken with the Canon MPE-65 lens at about 3 times magnification.

Thanks for looking.
