Kevin's low-key portrait - natural light

This came as the result of an exercise with spot-metering I did for college. I was more than pleasantly surprised to see what a precise spot-metering reading could achieve in term of exposure with nothing but diffuse natural light and a proper high-contrast location for dramatic effect.
No editing was done on the light, color or skin. None whatsoever.
The only editing done was removing some random thingy in the right corner using the inpainting tool in Affinity photo, which is my favorite retouching and developing software.
I also used the "detail refining" in the developing module and set it to 100% to compensate for my focus not being perfectly thack sharp (I was using a manual lens and a basic school camera, God forbid).
I never dabbled in spot-metering before. I gotta say I'm never going to meter any other way from now on. Amazing how the press of one button can change everything.
Like a fourth point to the exposure triangle... well, no, but you got the idea.
