However take care as it is often difficult to avoid the model "stare of concentration" unless you make them aware to have some "lover softness expression" looking into the lens. The image will reflect the photographer/ model relationship and could fail if it comes across as impersonal or cold even though smiles are out, but "Mona Lisa's" are definitely appropriate.
