Chesapeake Bay

Two photos taken 25 miles apart. I loved the raggedy fence, but it needed something to bring it all together. The lighthouse is located in a gated community called Bay Creek. A world class golf community located on the Chesapeake Bay in a little town called Cape Charles. I “moved” the lighthouse to this battered beach, merging old with new to create this dramatic b&w.

Wonderful!

Thanks so much.

Carla, wonderful black and white image(s) and nice post-processing 2x. So looks like you’ve discovered some of the secrets of time travel. Wow I can’t see how you blended the snow/dune fence and the resorted lighthouse (station). Thanks for your honesty. Had you not told us this was made from two parts of different places no one would know or have any reason to guess, except the residences of Bay Creek. I imagine they weren’t happy were you at the clubhouse ;).
Most of why your image works is you keep it believable. I love the grass that I presume came along with the fence. Great image, great work. Keep it real(istic) and above all honest, have you heard it’s the best policy.
Scary what you might do with AI.
