I've been admiring street photography for over a decade, yet still struggle with the discomfort of taking a stranger's photo.
A one-day festival was taking place in our town and I wanted to bring along my camera in hopes of combatting this hesitation I carry with me. While stopped at a red light, a group of people were crossing the street. The photo I captured was, in my mind, meant to be, as this group of pedestrians walked tightly together with their first steps off of the curb, but spread out with each additional step taken, leaving this cowboy alone in the middle of the group, affording a cinematic feel.
