Since I started with photography, it has been always a way to create something where I would be the responsible for the final result. As a musician, normally I am a piece of the whole engine. I like to create my own projects from scratch. In this case I wanted to do a fashion editorial shooting in a classy bar. When I decided to do the project it was clear in my mind that I would like to do it in Barcelona, since I was on holidays. After some search, I found this little cocktail bar, Boadas cocktails, and it was exactly what I was looking for, I contact them on Facebook and they liked the idea to have a collaboration together. Great, location solved.
Now it was time to look for a model. For many years I have been using Facebook groups or Instagram to find models for my personal projects. I think in Barcelona there is one of the groups that works the best. I was lucky to find Juliana, together we thought about the styling, we wanted to have some colour that would match with the wood of the bar. When we arrived there we met with Adal Marquez, who is the head of bartenders there. He was amazing, not only because he was such a nice person but also he told us about the story of Boadas, many famous people used to go there, Greta Garbo, Dalí, Picasso,Ernest Hemingway, Antonio Machin… and he showed us the real way to prepare a dry martini. I felt like James Bond. And last but not least, I couldn’t have done this shooting without my friend Mark, who has come with me to help me with my photoshootings in Barcelona whenever I needed him.
