Interesting photo of the badlands. Most photos I see (and mine) are wide shots so it's good to see something else from that area. Only improvement I can think of that might make it stand out more is taking it with better lighting.
I definitely hear ya on that, I had two days there and came in just before golden hour in the evening, the next day It was pouring rain all day and I didn't get a singe shot. I had not bracketed shot with the flour in the front really bright but I could not get it to blend well in photoshop so I went with what I had. next time I go back I want to bring a strobe and get a shot smiler to this but using a strobe to laminate the foreground flower.
