I work primarily with large and medium format film cameras shooting B&W negative film. I started experimenting with color negative film a while back and I must say that Kodak Portra may become a regular thing with me. I wasn’t sure if I was going find anything in color negative film. I have long favored monochromatic images and there’s always digital for those times when I want color. I’ve seen some really wonderful color film work lately that has inspired some artistic growth and hopefully some creative expansion. We’ll see how this goes.
This one was shot with a Hasselblad 503c/w through an 80mm 2.8 CF T* on Kodak Portra. The key light was a Dynalite B4 through a Westcott 12x50 strip and a 40 degree egg crate from Lighttools with a little bit of fill from a Profoto B2 through a 2' octa. The film is home developed.
