this is a shot from a personal fun project
i put some thoughts in visualizing the theme "contrast" combined with sports
so it resulted in a series of digital shots taken through an analog mamiya viewfinder
to make things clear this is not a montage with some fishy photoshop work involved, it's a real single shot and everything was done in-camera (despite some adjustments in color and contrast)
in this shot i mounted my dslr on a tripod taped on a box full of fresh ice cubes, trying to get a good action shot of a friend airing his motorbike through fire
the camera is facing down to the analog live-view through the mirrored image of the mamiya facing to the front and i used two small flashes to light him up
this of course took some tries and i felt really lucky to have such a helpful local fire department controlling the fire
with fire meeting ice this is probably the strongest image of the series visualizing "contrast"
