Not sure how I stumbled across your images, but I love them. I assume you are stacking them for that great depth of field. Can you say how many you average for a normal sized bug (whatever that is, right?). I'm interested macro photography as well but am still acquiring equipment. Hope I can be half as good as you. Thanks for sharing your awesome images.

Hello Michael! first Thank you!
But all pics are one shot! I don't use the Stacking Focus. I use a canon 6d with a canon 100 mm macro and add a Raynox dcr 250 close up filter. Have a great day!

That is amazing, and much easier than stacking. I'm on a very low budget, and so am considering extention tubes. Have you tried them and if so, do you think they are even worth the relatively low price, or should I just keep saving for a good macro lens?

Hello Michael. Sometimes I use extension tubes, but I can to recomend you a raynox dcr 250 a close up filter. You can add it to your lenses and the magnification is good and the quality of image too.

Thanks. So unless I'm mistaken, it screws onto the end of your lens, right? Can you tell me where I can find the one you mentioned.

Yes, the filter goes at the end of the lens. I am from Argentina, but the raynox filters is from Japan. I dont Know where do you live, but I think in all online shop you can fin it!

Sorry. I'm usually not this stupid. We have Amazon now. Just wanted to thank you for the great advice. Maybe I'll let you see my work if I can get a couple good ones.

Sure, I will be waiting for your work!
