As I drove around Dawson Lake at Moraine View State Park today, I couldn't help but noticed the numbers of Ring-Billed Gulls soaring and calling. I'm still looking for opportunities to play with the Canon EOS R camera especially for birds in flight. The gulls gave me the perfect opportunity to try some things out. I managed several soaring images but I loved this 1st image from a series of images of this gull catching a fish. I had the perfect side view and angle to the water to capture this unique image with reflection. And I'm thankful the open water for him to fish as you can see there is still quite a bit of ice on most of the lake. I'll try to post the others in the sequence as I edit them. I hope you enjoy this image as much as I enjoyed making it.
