Pawtrait

One of my favorite portrait shots ever. I love to shoot animals, especially dogs. There is such a strong bond between humans and animals regardless of what type of animal it is. One of the most important things when shooting animals is to focus on the eyes. The best way to do this is get down to eyelevel and try focus directly on the eyes.
This is nala. She‘s an amazing labrador and it was a real pleasure to shoot with her. She‘s a bit obsessed with water, so the only difficulty was to made her stay in the fields and not jump into the river next to us. It was almost like shooting a portrait with a person, thats how strong her expression was. Incredible eyes and eye contact.
