A lone firefighter looks on as a blaze consumes a recycling facility Nov. 22 in Phoenix.
I was on my way home from a late night shooting a demo derby and could see this blaze from over 30 miles away, so of course I had to get as close as I could. It took me a couple hours to get around traffic and blocks, and not long after I got to this spot the cops kicked me out. But I got off maybe half a dozen frames before that, and I'm sure glad I got this one. Two days later that spot is still smoking.
I had my 70-200 on the new 7d MII, nothing fancy just some old fashioned good timing. I'm really surprised the feedback this has got already locally and online, but I'm even more excited to share with you all!
Great shot David!
Great image.
Not just a great image, it has real story tell without words. Thru your lens we heard it. Thanks for sharing.
That is excellent!
