The project is directly inspired by Alphonse Mucha's La primevère poster. (google it :P) His work does really inspire me to have rounder models to pose for me. This beauty from another time looks so impressive to me. I made the little embroidery and the costume as well <3
It is great to look back to previous eras. I enjoyed a exhibit about Toulouse-Latrec last year, and one note was about one of his lovers and how she was an oddball at Moulin Rouge because she was slender. All the expecations at the time were for curvier women.
