This shot was taken on an empty beach on the East Coast of Australia. I arrived at the coast just after golden hour had started. After wondering up the beach looking for a subject, I noticed these giant upturned trees scattered along the horizon. As the light was soon to disappear, I remember sprinting as fast as I could to reach them before the light was gone.
I wanted to capture the movement of the water and the effect it was having on the tree. The ocean is slowly dragging this beast into depths.
Single exposure taken with a Nikon D750, Nikon 24mm F2.8 with a ND4 filter attached.
