A bridge in Halifax Nova Scotia

Hey, just wanted to share this shot here. As we’re all trapped inside, I’m trying to use the time to improve my editing skills and work flow.

Constructive and non-constructive criticisms are welcome. I feel I’m getting better, and when I edit photos I lose a sense of time. I wish that happened in my actual job…

Edit workflow:
1. Imported to Capture One. Adjusted lens corrections and exposure.
2. Nik Collection sharpening
3. Nik Collection Color Efex. Mostly adjust micro contrast and flattened the image by reducing saturation and colour cast.
4. Last station was Luminar. The biggest addition is the sunrays and the glow. I’ve been using Luminar at some capacity since April 2018 (when I bought a camera), and I came to understand that the most beneficial aspect of the sunrays feature is not the actual sunrays (lol), and that’s because Luminar does a great job pathing the light direction through the scene. It just makes it much more realistic and saves you time to focus on thinking in more creative ways instead of finding tutorials online on how to dodge and burn etc… The colours were adjusted to my own taste.
5. Last few touches in Capture One with a few gradient adjustments to brightness, contrast, and clarity.

Wish everyone the warmest regards,

Cheers.
