Lenticular cloud formations are a rare and wonderful occurrence in the Mount Shasta region of Northern California. I lived in this region for 6 years and was fortunate enough to have encountered them on several occasions. This was taken from one of my favorite spots to capture this majestic mountain from the back side of Lake Shastina in the fading light of day.
