Last summer I interned in Georgia. I spent my evenings roaming around looking for pretty locations to take photos and praying to meet someone who would agree to be my subject. I stumbled across a hidden park one evening. It had a beautiful creek, the perfect place to shoot... but sadly I had no one to shoot with. I explored the park for about fifteen minutes, climbing rocks and veering off the trails. I heard faint giggles from girls as I made my way over a massive hill of rocks. When I made it to the opposite side I ran into these ladies, plus three others. They had an old camera balancing on a tripod on the steep rocks. I locked eyes with one of the girls and instantly I knew I had made a connection. All six ladies were dressed in vintage dresses, and they were all stunningly beautiful. I approached them, asking if I could snap a few photos. The youngest girl hurried to the camera they had set up and begged for me to take over. She stuffed it in her brown bag and gave me a grin. I pulled my Nikon from across my back and began to snap away. We ended up shooting in the park until the sun sank into the trees. I am now friends with these ladies and I look forward to shooting with them again when I make my way back to Georgia. I love the friendships that photography has allowed me to stumble into.
