This stunning wild Short-Eared Owl decided to perch on a fence pole just a few feet from the path we were walking along and it did not fly off when I started to take pictures even though it could see me and it could hear the camera shutter. This was right place at the right time and wildlife photography encounters do not get much more thrilling than this! Taken at a nature reserve in Yorkshire.
