P Marie Mathilde

This picture is one of my favorites of Patricia, a gorgeous French woman I met in the middle of Africa. This is taken in Livingston Texas, just her and I, at a lake house with lots of windows so lots of natural light and a flash for the catch light in her eyes. The post editing is done with DXO Photolab 3 and doesn't use any of the Nik Collection presets, just local adjustments the most dramatic of which were contrast and micro-contrast variations. I didn't have the NEF file handy so I did the postprocess on a JPG file. I was using a Nikon D7100, probably still my favorite camera, in aperture mode with a Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 lens, (good glass).
