Dells Mill

Dells Mill and Museum is located about 4miles north of Augusta Wisconsin and approximately 20 southeast of Eau Claire. In researching subjects to photograph I came across a blog post of a professional photographer from Milwaukee who had stumbled upon this gem three years ago. The mill was built during the Civil War and while no longer a functioning mill is currently a museum operated by proprietor Gus Clark.
This shot is a composite of 2 exposures using a variable ND filter to achieve the silky water look. It was taken shortly before sunset during a mid-September 2013 trip I made for the express purpose to capture this image.
