Surface Tension Study #4

I created this series of spacetime paintings in August of 2018 on vacation in Long Point, Ontario. A week previously I had been in an accident on my bicycle involving a car, I was hurt bad enough to spend several weeks resting and taking medicine for pain. This particular night even though I was in pain I hobbled down to the water because the sunset had such an incredible palette. The series was made by using a long exposure and interpretive movement around a moving wavefront on the sandy beach to frame a stunning sunset.
