A Church in Ruin

Catholic priest stands in his church in Batnaya Iraq after the town was reclaimed. ISIS had occupied the town and used this church as training ground for Islamic Soldiers. They used the crucifix and other religious artifacts for target practice. Although the church was heavily damaged it was not completely destroyed and is being rebuilt.
