Lacs d’Ayous located in the Pyrenees at an altitude of 1947m
This was destination No.3 on this years Summer Astro tour with my good friend Ralf Rohner.
After driving 20 hours + and covering roughly just under 1500km with little sleep the previous 2 nights we arrived to the parking where we set off to hike just under 7km up to the lake. Carrying 30kg+ in camera and camping equipment we set off in a temperature of 30c+. The hike may of been one of the hardest hikes we have ever done as we had little sleep and were exhausted from lack of sleep and dehydration. As the climb became harder the temperature dropped the higher the altitude but it barely helped. Once arriving we decided to take a dip in the alpine lake at freezing temperatures where we cooled down before beginning the nightscaping session. In the end it was well worth it and the views were breathtaking.
Great capture!
Thanks again!
