I broke & entered to get this shot. I feel like that's what the Lord wanted because there was a gap in the fence that allowed me to slide onto the grounds to get this vantage point over the flowers. By the way, for whatever the reason the flower bed sits a bit to the right of center and so I moved them to the left in photoshop and then cloned in a few more flowers on the left side to balance the bed. It was really out of balance initially. Weird. They had to have done that positioning on purpose.
It's hard to fuck up shooting such a beautiful structure. I captured a couple of other great angles that I may edit eventually, but the flowers called me to edit this one first.
Nikon PC 19mm
Panasonic Lumix S1R
The Nikon PC 19mm has some barrel distortion that is noticeable at times and damn tough to correct. You're almost better off using a wide angle, like a Zeiss 15mm for instance, and cropping in. Otherwise it is a very sharp lens that can shift to about a 12 or 13mm equivalent lens, which every bit was needed, and used on this photo.
