There was this moment while photographing these vicious birds (a pair had shown up) when one of them perched on a reasonably close branch and looked right at me!
Part amazing, part scary, the fiery yellow-orange
eyes look almost like a warning not to disturb it.
Add to that the sharp talons... I pity the birds that are hunted down by this swift bird of prey
