CAP SAN JUAN

„ The gargantuan dimensions of the CAP SAN JUAN make it one of the largest reefer container ships in the world. Spanning over a 1,000 ft long and 160 ft wide, it can store more than 10,600 20-ft-containers. Powered by a single 55,000 PS diesel engine, it tops out at about 21 kts. Put into perspective: It could easily carry 200+ Airbus A380. It’s pretty much the size of three football fields. It‘s taller than a 20-story building. So yeah, this thing is huge alright. And heavy. And yet it glides gently across the water like it’s the most normal thing. Baffles me every time I see it.
