I've been really excited to share this image with you all! This is a pretty famous photo spot in Ireland but one I only became aware of when location scouting for our west coast trip. I couldn't find much information online as to where exactly this hut was located so I had to spend a few hours driving around Connemara National Park during the height of Storm Ellen to find it! When I finally found it I geo-tagged it on my maps and made plans to return the following day.
Over three days, while Storm Ellen persisted, I visited this location four times waiting for the perfect shot! This was shot on my last visit here at sunrise. It was a little windy when I first arrived so I was shooting long exposures to smoothen out the water. During this 315 second exposure, the wind stopped and the water became perfectly still giving me the reflection I was chasing! I enjoyed around 20 minutes or so of perfectly still water before the wind hit again.
Moral of the story, persistent is key!
perfect composite, i really like it
Thank you, Unai:)
Great capture!
