When Weathered Souls announced their Black is Beautiful initiative, they shared a homebrew recipe so brewing enthusiasts could participate in the movement as well. I teamed up with a friend to brew our riff on the recipe, adding marshmallow and Abuelita mexican hot chocolate to the kettle, vanilla beans to the secondary, and bottling with cold brew What's Brewing chocolate bourbon coffee. The result? A delicious imperial stout landing at 12.75% ABV. Turned out phenomenal, if I may say so myself!
