Catching Highlights

I photograph trees from multiple angles, keeping an eye on composition for a base image. The surrounding images are placed as layers in Photoshop. I use blending modes and at times adjust lining things up or spreading them out. There is very little post-production work needed the images almost create themselves. My experience is that sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't work at all. By ramping up my production and my workflow I was able to experiment quickly and developed what worked.
My intention is for this work to be about the photography and not let the tools stand in the way. It is the visual impact of the technique that should speak louder than how it's been made. It is the visual impact of the final image that you filter out all those technical questions and allow you to step into that image and be part of this transition of time and space in one moment. The layers just came natural multiple images multiple layers what do you do it with negatives or in a digital camera.
